The 1980s marked the decisive turning point. Our father Franco, strengthened by that heritage of values and a deep, mature love for his land, decided together with our mother, Anna Paola, to take a bold and, for the time, visionary step. They sensed the potential of this place not only as a farm, but as a space for sharing an authentic life experience. They transformed the old farmhouse and the surrounding land, bringing a dream to life: Agriturismo Salos.
It was not merely about opening an accommodation business; it was the realisation of the desire to allow others to experience, even if only for a short time, the authenticity of that Salento way of life that had meant so much to them. Agriturismo Salos was one of the very first agritourisms in Salento, a true pioneer of quality rural hospitality.
